Candice Gabrielli
Meet Mrs. Gabrielli
I am thrilled to join the Longmeadow community after spending the last 13 years in Rhode Island. My journey in education has been diverse, spanning roles as both a classroom teacher and an elementary school librarian across five different states. I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Master’s in Education from UMass Amherst, and I am near completion of my Master of Library Science at the University of Rhode Island.
While many expect librarians to be lifelong avid readers, my path was different. As a student, I struggled with reading and felt the weight of academic insecurity. Because of those early challenges, my mission as an educator has always been to look beyond the books and focus on the child. Whether in the classroom or the library, I strive to build genuine connections with my students. I am passionate about helping every child find what brings them joy, helping them find their confidence, and showing them that every student has the potential to thrive and feel successful.
When I’m not in the schools, you can find me with my two daughters, watching their lacrosse games and cheering them on! I love gardening, especially with aeroponic gardens. And I have a knack for graphic design and being super handy.
