D.C. Trip Safe Snacks List

A safe snack list is attached at the bottom of this page.

  There will be a meeting for all STUDENTS going on the DC trip on Tuesday, April 11th at 2:55 in the Glenbrook cafeteria. The meeting should last approximately a half hour.

Longmeadow Schools Special Programs invites all parents to hear Jessica Lahey speak on "The Gift of Failure:  How the Best Parents Learn to Let Go So Their Children Can Succeed," Tuesday, March 7th at 7pm in the LHS Auditorium.  Book signing and discussion facilitated by Superintendent O'Shea will take place immediately afterwards.  Hope you can join us!

Ski Club

Good Afternoon Glenbrook Families,

This year, Glenbrook Ski Club is going to be on Friday nights at Berkshire East in Charlemont, MA. It is a six week program that will begin January 6, 2016. Due to half days, the club will run, Jan. 6th, 13th, 20th, Feb. 3rd, 17th, and March 3rd. If we need to reschedule due to inclement weather, we will make them up at the end. The bus will leave Glenbrook at 3:00 p.m. and return around 9:30 p.m.


Students should have their permission slips turned in with two checks, one made out to Berkshire East, and one made out to PAC. The Berkshire East Package slips along with liability form for Glenbrook, Emergency contact information, and Mountain Activity waiver with BOTH checks are due no later than Monday, December 5th, 2016.

We will be looking for chaperones each week. Each chaperone will get a free lift ticket. If you are interested in chaperoning, please email me with your dates of availability. Chaperones need to fill out a CORI that is available through Glenbrook Middle School. This should be done no later than December 20th.

Special Programs Speaker - Dr. Anthony Rao

All parents are invited to join us on Thursday, December 1st in the Longmeadow High School Auditorium at 7pm for the second our 2016-2017 Special Programs Speaker Series. Dr. Anthony Rao, a child psychology expert and bestselling author, will speak on "The Way of Boys:  Promoting the Social and Emotional Development of Young Boys."  Please reserve your free seating in advance at   There will be a book signing immediately afterwards.  Books may be purchased in advance at Kiddly Winks and on the evening of the presentation.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.​​

Longmeadow has launched CLOSE Community, a coalition effort to reduce substance use disorders in our community.  CLOSE Community will work collaboratively with community stakeholders to identify, initiate, and sustain efforts promoting prevention, treatment and recovery.  We are interested in your opinions.  Please click on the following link to take our community survey.  This will help us to better understand where to focus our efforts in order to best address these issues as a community.  All responses are anonymous.  Thank you!
